In recent years, we have made successive breakthroughs in the production technologies of ultra-wide aluminum alloy plates for aerospace, ultra-thin aluminum alloy sheet for aircraft skin, heat-resistant high-strength aluminum alloy forgings, high-strength high-toughness and corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy plates for aerospace and profiles for high-speed EMU trains, becoming the leading enterprise in 3C electronics industry. At the same time, ALG is the first to successfully produce 5059/1561 aluminum alloy materials for new ships, and has gradually established technological advantages in the field of new energy automobiles. In March 2017, ALG successfully cast the ultra large size (width up to 2670mm) 7000 series slab ingot for air freight containers, which is still the largest 7-series alloy slab ingot in China so far.

In October 2017, ALG successfully cast the widest 2024 hard aluminum alloy ingot in Asia (up to 2670mm) for the aircraft skin, making it possible to produce large aircraft skin sheet besides only through corss-rolling technology.

In January 2018, ALG successfully cast the ultra large size (width up to2520mm) 7050 slab ingot for aircraft structural parts, which is by far the world's largest 7050 slab ingot.

In November 2018, ALG successfully cast the ultra large size 7A04 aluminum alloy slab ingot (width up to 2520mm), which is by far the largest 7A04 aluminum alloy ingot in the world.

In December 2018, through only one production ALG successfully cast the most difficult large-size 7055 aluminum alloy slab ingot for aviation, breaking the record of the industry.

With the technology of high-purity degassing and dreg removing, ALG successfully cast the 7A85 slab ingot in October, 2016. ALG also broke the technology blockade from foreign countries and mastered the world-class ultra-difficult casting technology for aviation aluminum alloy, with product quality among the world advanced level.

Asymmetric rolling technology

With the asymmetric shear deformation rolling technology, the material structure deformation will become more uniform and sufficient, reducing most of the defects which will pass to next process such as loose tissue, blister and hole, so as to ensuring excellent anisotropic properties of final products. This technology is a solid foundation for the production of high-quality aluminum alloy materials for aviation and aerospace.

Ultra-thick plate high hardenability technology

2000 series and 7000 series plates over thickness 80mm have poor hardenability, affecting the performance in the thickness direction. To solve this problem, Alnan adopts the roller-hearth quenching and spraying process, together with rapid cooling process, and has overcome the hardenability problem of ultra-thick 2000 series and 7000 series plates, which is a solid foundation for the production of high-quality aluminum alloy materials for aviation and aerospace.

Orange peel surface defect control technology for 6000 series plates

Orange peel surface defect of 6000 series hot-rolled plates is a difficulty among the industry. Through chemical composition optimization and unique rolling process, Alnan has resolved this problem. This technology improves the surface quality and lays a good foundation for the subsequent anodizing treatment.

Low-stress ultra-thick plate processing technology

With powerful stretchers, the residual stress of 2000/6000/7000 series hot-rolling quenched plates and pre-stretched plates (thickness less than 260mm) can be effectively eliminated, laying great foundation for deep processing.

Wide sheet shape control technology

Alnan can produce sheet or coil with min. thickness 0.2mm and max. rolling width 2715mm in precise shape control by using its wide sheet shape control technology. Alnan exports large quantities of 3003 cold-rolled wide coils for trailer industry to European and North American countries annually with this key technology.

Low rolling reduction texturing technology

Using this technology in ABS products which require textured rolling under very small rolling reduction, the sheets are with great roughness and multiple peak values on both sides. The unique ELG (elongation control mode) rolling mode can ensure that the surface index parameters of the sheet and strip fluctuate less than 5% and the surface after textured rolling is with uniform hemispherical micro-structure. This technology is a must for aluminium sheets applied to doors and covers used in mainstream automobiles like BMW. Alnan is already capable of supplying ABS products in mass production, and has passed some parts of the qualification audits of BMW, Honda and other automobile manufacturers.

Low rolling reduction high brightness technology

Alnan’s high-brightness aluminum sheets and plates is with surface roughness as good as 0.2μm, which is widely applied to tank truck bodies, mirror finish sheets and plates, and sheets for coins. Alnan exports a large quantity of 5083 alloy materials produced by this technology for tank trucks to Thailand, and many European and American countries.

Wide sheet continuous heat treatment technology

Alnan can produce the widest sheet and coil (up to 2650mm) in China. With this technology, furnace gas temperature control accuracy reaches ± 1.1 ℃, and the plate shape control capability is within 5I, ensuring the uniformity of the annealed/quenched sheet (performance fluctuation of entire coil≤3%) and uniformity of the shape and surface quality. In addition, Alnan’s surface pickling, alkaline cleaning, passivation, pre-aging, oiling and oil detection technology is a strong guarantee for high value-added products such as automotive and 3C electronics industries.

High-precision surface inspection technology

Alnan’s high-precision online surface inspection device can record the quality of strip surface in real time, with resolution accuracy of up to 0.01mm2, making it possible for online recording and quality traceability of product surface quality.

Precise online quenching technology

The precise online quenching system introduced from OMVA is with both air cooling and water cooling. During the quenching process, the cooling rate of each profile part can be accurately controlled to ensure that the profile is not deformed, and with good surface quality and small deviation in shape and size.

Extrusion products coarse grain control technology

With specially designed alloy composition, combined with special soaking and extrusion process, Alnan can effectively control the size of the coarse grain of extrusion products. The coarse grain size of 6061, 6082 and 7075 alloy rods can be controlled within 0.5mm, which is the best in the industry.

Large profiles with complex section precise online quenching technology

With both air and water online cooling technology during the quenching process, Alnan can control independently air volume or the water volume of each spray in every direction of the profile. This will minimize the deformation of the profile to the fullest extent during the online quenching process and ensure the dimensional accuracy.

20m vertical quenching technology

The 20m vertical quenching furnace introduced from AVIC is specially designed for military and aerospace products. Featuring with high temperature uniformity and short quenching transfer time, it meets all the requirements of solid solution quenching for various high-performance aluminum alloys.

Alnan is equipped with full set of aviation-grade heat treatment facilities. With NADCAP certified roller-hearth furnace, air-cushion furnace, and three-stage aging furnace, Alnan can provide aviation-grade products and technical supports and services for both heat treatment and high-temperature measurement.

With three-stage heat treatment technology, Alnan is capable to producing 7000 series aluminium alloy plates (T77 and T7751 temper), offering various aluminium alloy products for aviation and aerospace.

The ultra-wide plate quenching shape control technology enables heat treatment for products with maximum final width of 3800mm, meeting EN standard and the high-precision class of national standard.

The ultra-thin plate solid solution quenching technology enables heat treatment for product with thickness as thin as 0.2mm.
